Bill & Ed's Excellent Adventure...Day 21...Tuesday, July 5, 2011...Onward to Blomidon

We have pretty much run ourselves ragged these past few days so, even though we've got a lot of touring to do today, everyone sleeps in for awhile. Then we're all up for coffee and cereal before packing up and heading out.
Brenda takes on all of the back roads along the French Shore (Clare to Weymouth)...over rolling hills and through little towns...it's a very foggy day today.
Later, we head over to Annapolis Royal with a quick stop at the tidal power plant. We stop in New Minas for groceries and then on to Blomidon Provincial Park in the late afternoon. It's a magnificent park perched high above the Minas Basin on Cape Blomidon.
For dinner, I prepare some famous Digby scallops with a reduction of white wine, carrot juice, and heavy cream...outstanding! I've also picked up a 2 1/2 pound lobster which I devour along with a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
As the sun sets, the wind picks up and the temperature drops into the low 50's. Ed's "Florida constitution" is struggling with this cold, and he's bundled up for most of the evening...working on his journal.
We're all to bed early this night, the howl of the wind our sleeping companion.
