Day 25...Cold, Wet and Nasty Denali National Park

We got a bit of a late start out of Talkeetna yesterday morning...but we did make a killer breakfast to start the day off right.
The drive north to Denali was much prettier than the drive south that I made over a week ago. Weather was petty clear and sunny...until we started getting close to Denali where the rain started and the temperature dropped considerably.
I had been worrying about whether we'd get a hike in after setting up camp at the tent camp in the Park, but the weather dictated the way to go. So...we booked another cabin for the night, this time at the Crow's Nest, less than a mile from the Park entrance.
We played cards, drank a few beers, then headed over to the Denali Princess Lodge for dinner...great prime rib.
Our plan is to see how the weather is tomorrow...if it's good, we hike for awhile and then stay somewhere on the way back to Anchorage. If it's bad, we're just heading back to Anchorage.
In any case, I'm thinking about coming back here after Paul and Hunter head home. I'd like to hike at least two days, then maybe head back up to the Lodge at Chena Hot Springs for a day or two. When we get back to Anchorage, I've got to spend a few hours planing my trip going forward.
