Supplemental Post...More Photos From Capitol Reef and Grand Staircase

Along with these extra photos, I thought that I might briefly discuss what I refer to as the "beer situation" here in Utah.
As I have mentioned before, groceries, general stores, and even bars and restaurants only sell beer with a 3.2% alcohol content. By contrast, most of the beer that I drink (and you as well) at home is between 5% and 6%. So...a "grocery store beer", as it's referred to here, has about HALF the alcohol of the beer that we're all used to at home. "Less buzz for the buck", if you will.
So...if you want to get the "normal beer" that we're used to at home, you have to go to a Utah State Liquor Store. And, even that is an adventure. Small towns don't have them, so you often have to drive 20, 30, even 40 miles to get to one.
And...inside, the selection is pretty meager...a few domestic brands and a few imports. But...the best part is that you can only buy it by the bottle (or can). So there are all of these six and twelve packs on the shelves with beers missing...you have to "build" your own six/twelve pack. And...when you get to the cashier, she rings up each beer individually. Buy a case or so, and you've got a receipt as long as your arm!
Very, very strange.
